  • Best contact lens lecture i have heard for a long time.

  • Great overview of the causes and treatments of dry eyes and discomfort when using contacts.

  • Appreciated cause, effect and possible solutions format of lecture.

  • A lot of good information presented concisely, nice job.

  • Very strong presentation, but speaker presented a TON of info!

  • Great lecture and lecturer. His presentations are so easy to understand.

  • I never cease to be amazed at how much more i can still learn even though i have been clinically active for 42 years.

  • Outstanding presentation and information that can be used in clinic immediately.

  • Just like Dr. Lappin, I live in a town east of Texas called El Paso, where the weather is dry, hot, windy and with cold winters. Almost all the patients we see in our clinic have diagnosis of dry eye. The contact lens wearers most of the time complain of discomfort due to dryness, poor hygiene, over wear or poor vision. I enjoyed learning plenty of new things about contacts lenses and DED from today’s presentation. I cannot wait to apply what I learned today in my job.

Surprising Eyelid Issues Leading to Contact Lens Discomfort

Contact lens patients desire to remain in contact lenses for as long as possible. Issues such as discomfort, dryness, fluctuation vision, itchy eyes, and decreased wear time are all factors that cause contact lens patients to drop out or decrease wearing time. This course will focus on common issues that occur with contact lens patients and how to detect them. Common issues include dry eye, MGD, demodex, unstable tear film, and more. We will also discuss appropriate treatment options for each condition. Learn how to keep your contact lens patients comfortable and happy.

  • Enjoyed tips on patient education regarding blepharitis!

  • Good point about baby shampoo attacking lipid layer and the positive spin regarding overpopulation of Demodex “out of balance” etc. and the 4 pharmacies.

  • Good topic and I like learning an new treatment for demodex.

  • Great presentation with lots of practical tips to help patients.

  • I really appreciate this talk!! I feel much more comfortable in talking about démodéx with my patients vs when the rep comes and tells me to use it but not with the same clinical experience & attention to patient care .

  • Excellent presentation. I enjoyed the lecture, and the slides were very helpful. Well done, thank you.

  • I loved today’s topic because I work in one of the hottest and dry areas of Texas and close to 95% of the patients we see in the clinic I work for have diagnosis of dry eye that end up with blepharitis, MGD or demodex. And now that we have Xdemvy available for the doctor to prescribe it has helped plenty of our patients. Overall I was very satisfied how Dr.Kramer presented the class along with all the helpful information provided especially when given alternatives for baby shampoo, tea tree oil, and warm compresses.

Perimetry Primer: Fundamentals of Visual Fields

Simplified, great vision is a simultaneous processing of central fine detail (visual acuity) and peripheral stimuli (visual field). From screening to suprathreshold visual fields, eyecare providers can employ perimetry to detect and monitor defects caused by neurologic, retina, or glaucomatous disease. This lecture aims to answer the questions, why we use visual fields, when to perform a visual field, what types of visual fields are available, and how to interpret the findings. New technologies and platforms for perimetry will be discussed. Attendees should leave this course with a heightened confidence on ordering and interpreting visual fields.

Over 800 attended our event and we received amazing feedback!

Feedback from anonymous survey:

  • I appreciated the imaging studies, and the brief inclusion of alternate (probably older) modes.

  • Dr. Dunbar did an excellent job on this presentation. I would bring him back for further presentations in the future.

  • Thank you, great explanation on the complement and answer as to why the new treatments may take so long to work!

  • Thanks for an excellent evening CE program!

  • This was an excellent lecture and the Speaker too. I really liked this one. Thank you. 

  • Very informative lecture on a the changing arena of identifying and treating GA. 

  • Thank you Dr. Dunbar for this course, I work at a Cornea and Cataract Specialty clinic, and AMD is as far as advance cases that are seen before being referred to the retinal specialists for further treatment. I cannot recall a single if not very few GA cases in our clinic yet. But now I know what signs to look for possible GA detection.

Cozy Oral Pharmaceutical Weekend - Day One

Are you stuck at home with cold weather this January? Bundle up with your coffee, breakfast, and warmth of your own home and knock out 8 hours of oral pharmaceutical CE. By popular request, Woo U has organized a weekend long event dedication entirely to the topic of oral pharmaceuticals.

Over 300 attended our event and we received amazing feedback!

Feedback from anonymous survey:

  • Excellent speaker with useful information. Time and length was great to get lots of January hours

  • Thank you for sharing and updating this much needed information.

  • spectacular for learning and or reviewing. this was so valuable

  • Will definitely use what I learned in my practice habits.

  • Dr. Fanelli provided very practical information for the general primary care practitioner, for conditions I would feel comfortable treating. While interesting to see some advanced cases, I did not find Dr. Thimmons' information useful other than to confirm almost all cases were those that I would not treat; I did not think the second lecture was as practical as first lecture.

  • Thank you for this update. Great information and protocols.

  • Great speaker! This was my first experience with online CE at home and I feel like I paid more attention because I was comfortable in home and not in a freezing dark auditorium!

  • Absolutely clinically applicable. Great refresher.

  • Both speakers were obviously well educated and tenured, though the first presentation was at least 80% reading off of slides whereas the second was better at presenting a slide and telling a story about the patient's case and the clinical pearls to learn from it. I much prefer the latter presentation style as anyone can read a slide deck of bullet points. Despite this difference in presentation styles, I learned a lot from today and appreciate Woo University hosting this CE event.

  • This was the best pharm CE I have attended and have completed many of these type of CEs. The speakers were excellent and gave so much excellent pearls.
