Addressing meibomian gland dysfunction and blepharitis in general is the key to suppressing  the inflammatory nature of dry eye disease (DED). However, artificial tears (AT) still play a pivotal role in the management of the condition. The amount of eye drops available can make selection overwhelming for a doctor (let alone a patient). Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) has only been around for about a decade. There are several MIGS options available and more coming to market. This course will teach the eye care professional about the importance of MIGS and the most appropriate uses of these devices.

Visual fields are well known for their use in managing glaucoma patients, but what about other clinical uses? This course reviews a series of interesting case reports highlighting the importance of visual fields and the diseases they are helpful to diagnose and treat.

The best lectures and the best publications can’t replace one thing: Live handling and evaluation of scleral lenses. To get comfortable with scleral lenses, you need practice and you need a good mentor. Many of the major optometry meetings have workshops, but those only last 1-2 hours, and the room is filled with many other attendees fighting for attention from the teacher. On top of that, 2 hours is simply not enough time to learn everything you need to know about scleral lenses.
