Dr. Sorkin earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry. He has received multiple clinical honors and has participated in many contact lens related studies. He lectures extensively throughout the country and internationally on contact lenses, dry eyes, ocular allergies, ocular therapeutics and corneal disease. He has a special interest in difficult to fit contact lens patients, such as those with keratoconus and post surgical cases and manages many patients with complex anterior segment conditions.

Suzanne Walter Sherman, OD, FAAO, FSLS, is Assistant Professor of Optometric Sciences (in Ophthalmology), Director of Optometric Services at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She specializes in complex and medically necessary contact lens fittings, anterior segment disease and primary care.

Dr. Williams received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Texas Tech University and then went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. While in optometry school, Dr. Williams was heavily involved in many student organizations. He held leadership positions in the Student Optometric Practice Management Association (SOPMA) and American Optometric Student Association (AOSA). He also earned several clinical achievements including the Excellence in Primary Care Award for the Class of 2018 and was inducted into the Golden Key Society for distinguished student leaders in optometry.

Afterward, he completed a highly competitive one-year residency in cornea and contact lenses at Illinois College of Optometry. In Chicago, he worked mainly with the optometrist and ophthalmologists at the prestigious, University of Chicago Medical Center seeing patients with severe corneal diseases. One highlight of his experience there was super-gluing a patient’s cornea closed to save his vision.
