In this presentation, he reviewed the most appropriate oral pharmaceuticals for use in ocular infections, reviewed potential adverse and allergic reactions, and discussed alternatives if an allergy or adverse reaction occurs. Attendees also learned how to differentiate between herpes simplex and zoster, and understand which viral treatment options are appropriate, and when to use them. He also reviewed the new FDA pregnancy categories for medications.
