Hi, I’m Dr Jennifer Stewart, and here is the Woo’s Wisdom from Dr Doug Devries webinar on Improving Ocular Surface Disease Diagnosis.

Dry eye disease is common among our patients , especially those with other conditions (glaucoma, diabetes, allergies, contact lenses).  His best advice- start small (use the equipment you have), use patient questionnaires, utilize reps for education, do your own market evaluation to determine what services and procedures you want to offer based on what your patient demographics, designate a dry eye coordinator, commit to a level of care, and fine tune your communication. 

The most important question you can ask for diagnosis? “Do you have morning symptoms” – inadequate lid seal- identify root cause of dry eye for proper treatment.
