Dr. Ariel Cerenzie
Dr. Ariel Cerenzie is a Texas native and received her Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University. She then earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from University of Houston College of Optometry. During her education, she developed a passion for specialty contact lens care. She pursued her passion further and completed a cornea and contact lens residency at University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL). During her residency, she gained extensive experience in diagnosing and managing complex anterior segment disease, prescribing a wide variety of specialty contact lenses, including orthokeratology, and caring for UMSL’s pediatric population with various myopia management modalities
Dr. Cerenzie is a fellow of both the American Academy of Optometry and Scleral lens Education Society. She is also a member of the North Carolina Optometric Society and the American Optometric Society. In addition to practicing full-time, she is the US Southeast Education Consultant for Valley Contax lenses. She is now practicing in North Carolina, Charlotte and has helped grow a myopia management specialty within the practice. Over a course of 18 months, she has helped increase the practice’s myopia management patient base by over 300%.
