Dr. Selina McGee
Dr. Selina McGee is Founder and Owner of BeSpoke Vision, a boutique private practice that offers patients a wide range of optometric care via its dry eye center, specialty contact lens clinic and aesthetics suite. She is the first OD in the country to perform neurotoxin injections and laser resurfacing. She performs RF, IPL, and surgical lid procedures. She is a renowned national and international speaker. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Northeastern State University College of Optometry. She currently serves as President for the Intrepid Eye Society, Trustee on the SECO Board, and the Board of Examiners in Oklahoma. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, and is Past-President of the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians.
Dr. Marc Bloomenstein
Dr. Marc R. Bloomenstein is a 1990 graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles with a degree in Biology. He received his optometric degree from the New England College of Optometry in 1994. After graduation, Dr. Bloomenstein finished a residency in secondary ophthalmic care at the Barnet Dulaney Eye Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He received his fellowship from the American Academy of Optometry in December, 1998 and is a founding member of the Optometric Council on Refractive Technology.
Currently, Dr. Bloomenstein is at the Schwartz Laser Eye Center. Aside from lecturing and publishing on numerous anterior segment and refractive topics, Dr. Bloomenstein is on the editorial board of Primary Care of Optometry and Contemporary Optometry. Dr. Bloomenstein served as the President of the Arizona Optometric Association, as well as an Optometric Advisor to STAAR Surgical and Medtronics Solan. Dr. Bloomenstein is the President of the Board of the Arizona Optometric Charitable Foundation.
Dr. Cory Lappin
Dr. Lappin received his Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry, where he concurrently earned his Master of Science degree in Vision Science and served as Class President.
He then continued his training by completing a residency in Ocular Disease at the renowned Cincinnati Eye Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Dr. Lappin practices at Phoenix Eye Care and the Dry Eye Center of Arizona in Phoenix, Arizona, where he treats a wide variety of ocular diseases, with a particular interest in dry eye and ocular surface disease.
He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a member of the American Optometric Association, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Optometric Association. He is also a member of the editorial board for the online eye care publication Eyes On Eyecare.
Dr. Lappin received the American Academy of Optometry Foundation Practice Excellence Award and was named the 2023 Young Optometrist of the Year by the Arizona Optometric Association.
Dr. John Affeldt
Dr. John Affeldt received his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine, USC, followed by an Internship, Residency and Cornea Research Fellowship at the prestigious Doheny Eye Institute, USC. He then completed a clinical Fellowship in Cornea at the esteemed Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. The Bascom Palmer and Doheny Eye Institutes are currently ranked #1 and #5 respectively among all eye hospitals in America by US News & World Report.
Dr. Affeldt's current appointments include Associate Professor and Director, Dry Eye Center of Excellence at the Loma Linda University Eye Institute. He is also treasurer of the Board of Directors, Professional Alumni Association, Doheny Eye Institute, UCLA.
Dr. Affeldt is a very active researcher, with 56 abstracts and 16 peer reviewed publications to his credit. He specializes in the Ocular Surface realm and is currently the Principal Investigator for 3 active and 4 pending ocular surface related clinical trials. He also serves on the Speaker Bureau and Advisory Boards for multiple pharmaceutical companies.
Finally, Dr. Affeldt has received the “Teacher of the Year” award at both USC and Loma Linda and is the only Doctor to receive such an honor at both institutions.
