Rene Zamora, M.D.
Dr. Zamora is a board-certified ophthalmologist who was born in Manila, Philippines and raised in Sydney, Australia. He has training in both oculoplastic and refractive surgery, as well as surgical glaucoma treatment. At Nevada Eye Physicians, he provides multiple eye correction treatments and treatments for eye conditions and diseases.
Education and Training
Dr. Zamora completed his undergraduate education in biology at the University of Sydney, as well as the University of Oregon in Eugene, OR. He is a graduate of Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO and he completed his residency at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO. After his residency, he completed a fellowship in medical-surgical glaucoma, as well as oculoplastic surgery/excimer refractive surgery at O’Donnell Eye Institute. Dr. Zamora previously served as an assistant professor for the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of South Florida School of Medicine in Tampa, FL, as well as the Department of Optometry at the University of Missouri in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Zamora is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
